Any visitor should know it’s by the sea and so quite windy. There are a lot of hills, so you have to be pretty fit. Most of the buildings are quite old, giving it a sense of decaying elegance. However, that probably contributes to making it one of the most popular destinations for day trippers in search of sea, and with a bit of luck, sun.

Hastings is increasingly becoming viewed as a smaller, coastal London with many areas to discover. Most importantly, there are a number of unique and exceptional shops, restaurants, and cafes that can be found in the Old Town and the nearby St Leonard’s which are well-worth taking the time to explore. One must note, however, that like the capital, parking in Hastings can be limited at times but this is made up for by the area’s excellent public transport.

Hastings is a beautiful, scenic seaside town, positioned on the South-East coast of England. If someone were to be moving here, they should be advised that during spring and summer, the town gets extremely busy, due to the influx of tourists. In addition to the position of the town, and it being a renowned seaside resort, there are many historical connotations associated with it, such as the Battle of Hastings; this took place in the year 1066.
