Someone moving to the city of Hammond should know that it is a very nice place. There is a park in the center for families to enjoy. There are plenty of stores that are conveniently accessible. The town has great property value, which is good if you plan on selling in the future.

HELPFUL REPORT

When moving to the city of Hammond, Indiana, there are a few pros and cons to consider. For example, it is quite convenient how close the city is to Chicago, Illinois; the Windy City is accessible via freeway or commuter train services. However, the eastern border of Hammond lies Gary, Indiana, which is well known for its crime rates.

Hammond, Indiana, is an average sized city. Like most cities of similar size, it has several different “towns” which each have their own quaint characteristics. I won’t blatantly say that Hammond is a terrible or awful city but if you’re taken to the wrong town on your first visit, it may possibly affect your view on the ENTIRE city for the rest of your stay.

Hammond, Indiana, is a 15 minute drive to Chicago offering a lower taxes but still close to the city. We are close to shopping, restaurants, museums, and entertainment. There are many family oriented activities for those bonding moments we all love. You can find variety such as going to beautiful parks or walking on the beach. It provides a big city feeling in the suburbs.
