Haarlem is a quiet town close to Amsterdam. If you love an old medieval city, close to Amsterdam and the North Sea beaches it is the place to stay for a while. Safer than Amsterdam and 15 minutes by train if you want to visit the beaches or the Dutch capital. Come in the summer. In the winter there are not so many events and Haarlem can be rather boring.

The person may think that he is in Amsterdam because Amsterdam and Haarlem are very similar. The canals that we have in Haarlem are very similar to Amsterdam. The houses and buildings in Haarlem (City) also correspond to those of Amsterdam. Amsterdam is a lot bigger than Haarlem, but many places can be very similar.
