The most beautiful coast. Plenty of seafood. The cost of living is very low.

Hurricanes come, but you have time to evacuate. They aren’t as scary or as bad as you may feel, but always evacuate if you can early. Waveland a few town over is really bad off on drugs. The beaches should be walked on with your kids in sandals because of broken glass, litter, and I’ve seen a syringe once.

With a historic downtown, Gulfport has a range of opportunities for one to indulge. Seafood being the highlight of the Gulf Coast, Gulfport offers high-end oyster restaurants nestled in the heart of town. Bring your walking shoes for after dinner, and explore the magnificent murals designed and painted by your neighbors. It’s a southern town, so you are sure to be impressed by down home hospitality.
