It’s a very friendly place with lots to see and do. The traffic is horrendous in the summertime and during certain holiday weekends. The restaurants are overpriced year-round. The beach is beautiful.

Gulf Shores, Alabama “a quaint fishing village with a drinking problem” or at least that’s what they put on the t-shirts. The only real thing to know is that Gulf Shores is a tourist town. During March through September tourist flock to the beaches looking to soak up the sun’s rays and salt water. In winter, we’re bombarded with northerners, affectionately referred to as snowbirds, looking to escape the snow. People live their lives on “island time” which means slow and laid back. I would especially not be in any hurry to get anywhere.
