Guaratuba is a small town nestled beneath a river on the Brazilian coast. From the south, Guaratuba is accessible via the state of Santa Catarina, despite being in Parana. To access it from the north, one must traverse the river via ferry boat. The boats run frequently through the day and night, at all times of the year. However, one can expect to wait for up to one hour during off-peak times or in bad weather.
