Due to its geographic features, Great Neck is relatively isolated. As a result, everyone seems to know one another and the community is very tightly knit. Great Neck is a very affluent town and it is necessary to earn a substantial income to live here. Also, as a driver, always be aware of the scores of police cars camped out all around Great Neck ready to hand out tickets for various traffic violations.
The city is split into two parts—the north side and the south side. Despite having friends from the other part of town, there is still a huge rivalry between the two schools. Both schools have excellent STEM, music, and athletic programs. The city is also very lively with many restaurants, a movie theater, an ice rink, and parks.
