Someone moving to the city of Grand Forks should be adequately prepared to handle winters of subzero temperatures. A person should not be caught outside between November and March without proper clothing, otherwise frostbite will occur rapidly. We suffer through these five months of frozen tundra and as a result, we have a much greater appreciation for the seven months of warmth.
