Many people think the south coast of Sri Lanka during the off season (April-Oct) is not worth visiting – choppy waves and bad weather, but this is totally not the case! Here are a few suggestions within 30 minutes of Galle town where you can swim safely all year round:

Dadalla – Due to coastal erosion, the gov has created an artificial ‘reef’ to reduce the damage; it also creates a perfect sea bathing spot safe from crashing waves

Unawatuna Jungle Beach

Unawatuna Main Beach (down Yaddehimulla Rd)

Hikkaduwa Main Beach

Galle Fort Lighthouse Beach

***Top Tip: Visit Boossa once a month, or once a week if you’re up to it – it’s one of the only beaches I’ve ever been to in the World that comes and goes with the tides; it will be different every time you visit!

Our city is very green and has many beaches and mountains. It has a very small population and the people are very friendly. It also has a small city center or downtown area and you can find many shops and restaurants. For example, seafood restaurants and supermarkets.

Anyone willing to move to my city should know my city is the best city in the world. It’s beautiful well planned city that you can live peacefully. My city is fully maintained under the government and a citizen can experience lots of facilities. Not only that but also my city is fully under controlled by the police where you can have a high degree of living.
