Franklin, TN is full of history and has so much charm. In fact, its main street is often ranked in the top main streets in the United States. There are endless things to do in your spare time in Franklin, Tennessee, from visiting antique shops, to listening to live country music, to visiting historic landmarks, there really is something for everyone that comes to visit Franklin.

If moving to Franklin, Tennessee, be aware that we are close enough to Nashville for you to feel like you’re part of the Music City, but far enough from urban life to foster a small-town feel within our community. In general, there are many fun smaller activities, and different parades and festivals in which to participate! Franklin is a lovely small town with lots of history and charm.

Franklin has a very small-town feel, and it is perfect for those looking for a taste of Southern hospitality. You can enjoy family-friendly farmers markets and live music at many of the local restaurants!

Someone moving to Franklin, TN should know traffic. While Franklin is a beautiful city, traffic can be horrible. It could take you 15 minutes to drive three miles. The downtown part of Franklin is my favorite. It has a historical presence with a modern vibe. The economy is great, so there are plenty of jobs.

If someone was to move to Franklin the first thing they should know is the downtown’s penchant for acting small. They should not expect to drive all over downtown because the roads and alleyways are narrow between buildings. Newcomers to Franklin should know the fun they will have strolling down the quaint streets of downtown.
