Fort McMurray is in the far north of Alberta, Canada. Fresh air, lots of space, beautiful wildlife, with almost 20 hours of sunshine during summer days. In the summer you can enjoy kayaking, canoeing, and hiking on our vast selection of trails. Winters can get very cold. However, you can enjoy skiing, hiking, skating, and numerous other fun winter activities.

The weather should be considered. We have eight months of winter and four months of summer. During winter, the temperature drops down to -30°C to -40°C with windchill. And, during summer the temperature varies from 10°C to 30°C. There are risks of riveriver breakup and wildfire during summer. Damage to the properties are quite common during summer.
