Formby is a town, the closest city being Liverpool. Formby has a wonderful reputation as the home of long, sandy beaches, miles of grassy dunes, pinewoods, wildlife and nature reserves and a National Trust red squirrel reserve. It is an interesting and diverse environment in which to live, in addition to being a friendly town with many individual shops, pubs and cafes.
One essential piece of information for those intending to move to Formby is that small-town dwellers have a small-town mentality. This does not come at a detriment to Formby, however, with sprawling beaches, dense forests, and the quaintest coffee shops for miles around. The Formby folk enjoy the peaceful times and the exciting, and, overall, they welcome anyone who fancies a visit to this tiny haven.
