Elmira has 2 public elementary schools, John Mahood and Riverside, as well as a public middle school, Park Manor, and a public high school, Elmira Secondary School. I currently attend 6th grade at Riverside. There is also a Catholic elementary school, called St. Teresa of Avila. If you have the stamina to walk 15 minutes to get there and 15 minutes back, then you can walk to almost anywhere in Elmira, plus the Elmira bus system and school buses for the kids.

Elmira is a quaint little town with a small but thriving community. If the timing is right you could attend the maple syrup festival and partake in fantastic pancakes. The community is also home to many mennonites so you may see a horse drawn buggy slowing down traffic, and purchase their delightful baking.
