Anyone considering moving to Doha should definitely make themselves aware of the scorching heat here, as temperatures are usually very high. But occasionally there is rainfall, and a couple of months at the end of the year where a cool breeze marks the presence of the winter season. However, I recommend they stock up on SPF before booking their flight.

Doha is an state that follows Islamic principles. Hence one needs to be cautious about what they wear and how they behave in public. It’s not as intimidating as it sounds but the rules are pretty strict. Also one must be aware that it can be extremely hot during the summer season, so it’s better to load up on sunscreen or just avoid moving out during the day.

Pro:
– Cheap Hospital Bills – The city is known for its state of the art medical facilities and technology, they offers cheap medicine and a free consultation anytime you want.
– City feels – Even though Doha is small, their nightlife is amazing, the high rise buildings and seaside view really makes you calm.

Con:
– Strict culture – People needs to follow and respect strictly their culture.

The reason migrant workers flock here is opportunity. For lower-paid workers, Qatar offers something life in Asia or Africa cannot, namely a job, regular income and the ability to support a family back home. For white-collar workers, Qatar offers better career prospects, higher salaries and tax-free living. Qatari Nationals are very friendly but they have the attitude of not disturbing other nationalities. They live in their own style and once you make friendship than they are very friendly.

The Mall of Qatar, Villagio and Banana island are the most popular places in Qatar. In Doha we have a mixture of all races but Indians make up the most of the population. In Doha the temperatures here are always high and so it is important to keep hydrated. The houses here are mostly made of concrete and steel.

Before moving to Doha in Qatar, consider the following:
1. The hot weather with varying humidity conditions.
2. A work environment which involves cooperation with people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
3. A conservative society that still upholds Islamic traditions and cultural values.
4. The voltage level for electrical devices, which is 220 volts.

Doha being a part of middle eastern region has a great mix of people from around the world, a splendid and modern day example of perfect modern age and ancient values. This beautiful city has a lot to offer for people looking for a change from a stressed competitive environment. The weather here is on extremes in both winter and summer, yet the transitioning months are splendid to enjoy some beach time. To all, who are thinking for a change there is no better place to start… than Doha.

Doha is developing in a rapid speed. The city is safe and is the busiest out of all the cities in the country. Doha is the heart of Qatar, therefore, the city is covered with lots of beautiful places and nature Attraction in which tourists can visit. Due to the high temperature however, it is less likely to see lots of people walking outside during the day.

Doha is a very safe city for visitors and has very little crime. Women walking alone might be approached or may be the object of curiosity. Just be polite and continue on your way. The locals are well educated and extremely nice to tourists, whom they view as their own guests.
