In 2017, the Little Caesars Arena was opened which replaced the Joe Louis Arena and The Palace of Auburn Hills. It cost $862.9 million to construct, which would be about $3 from every person in the US. The arena can hold about 22,000 people for concerts and sports games. Though the Lions may not be as strong as they used to be, Michiganders keep the team spirit strong and Lions games are always packed with tons of people cheering them on.

Detroit has wildly bipolar weather. The city of Detroit is home to many well-known brands including Vernors Soda, Faygo Soda, Better Made Potato Chips, and Little Caesars Pizza. Detroit is also known for massive car manufacturing companies called the “Big Three,” Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler. Over the past few years, many investors and business owners have decided to buy land and old buildings to demolish them and rebuild them into museums, restaurants, and shops. Detroit is a city clawing its way back to its former glory. It’s known for being tough and gritty, and for never quitting. We are old American steel, strong but put on the back burner in lieu of quicker and cheaper models. Detroit is a pace where people stick together, where we work hard and play hard too.
