Dehradun is a city full of happy vibes. The magnificent mountains, which when you will close your eyes in solitude will flash upon your inward-eye. This city will entrap you with its richness of culture and adequate jobs.

Dehradun, the city which I reside is a clean and green city which has many places. Mussoorie in Dehradun is called the queen of hills and fuels all nature lovers. The several trekking spots available could serve the passionate travellers and trekkers. one visiting this place can have a wonderful time with nature and the challenging young fold mountains, the Himalayas.

As per as my knowledge is concern, people moving here should have first hand information about local environment and culture to cope up with his/her living style. be able to cooperate with their nature and ethics and try to bend with them. He or she must be able to accept any challenge that arises.

My city is city of love. The people are kind and of good standard as well. It is a valley. It is a gateway to Mussoorie which is “queen of mountains in India”. A nature loving person should have no doubt for moving here because it is full of nature.

Anyone moving to dehradun, should know it is a valley, surrounded by the shivalik range of the himalayan mountain range on one side and the beautiful town of mussoorie on the other. Mussoorie is a small hill station that one can visit in the weekends. Dehradun is famous for its many small bakeries and cafés. It is a small town, that has a rich kumaoni, garhwali and Nepalese cultural heritage.

Dehradun is a small city, 250 KM from Delhi, with an airport and railway station. Rains are heavy which starts in July till September. Being a small city, it’s less crowded. There are many old age homes, schools and colleges due to which it comes across as as retirement destination where majority of crowd is either young adult or senior citizens.

The city is beautiful but police is strict over here so you dare to break any law. You should visit the mountains here they are extremely beautiful. There is shortage of water in rural areas but the government is trying to solve this problem. All other things are good here. You don’t have to worry about anything.

it’s a tourist place so they should prefer visiting during lean season to get stuff at cheaper price. They must buy litchi and tea from here because Dehradun is quite famous for it. They should also consider visiting FRI, IMA, Gucchu Pani, Sahastradhara, Tapkeshwar to name a few.

You can explore it on a short weekend trip. It has many tourist attractions lying in the valley of the Himalayan range. You can also easily find accommodation in this place within your budget.

The things you should keep in mind are:
· Pre-book your accommodation.
· Pre-book your journey tickets.
· Book a cab for sightseeing around the city.
· At least keep two days in hand to explore all the spots.
· Popular food is Punjabi and fast foods.
· Do not forget to grab a plate of Maggie at any Maggi-point in Dehradun-Mussoorie road.

One can visit Paltan Bazar here. This market is most crowded and up to every one’s pocket. You can get everything you wish within your wallet. The best you bargain best you will get. This market is just at the city center. On Sunday you can try your bargaining skills here.

They must know the local language, which is Hindi, but also the city has good literacy; they can do with English speaking as well. The city’s only airport is 17 km away. At night, the only possible means of transportation are cabs or taxis. If someone is travelling during the day they can use bus services.
