Dawsonville is a commuter city. If you want to go shopping or to run any errands, a vehicle is a must have. Due to the population growing, and Dawsonville not being a metropolis, taxi services are not readily available. The taxi services that are available are extremely expensive, sq a cheaper route would be to own a car/truck to get around town.

Dawsonville is a growing city; currently, there is a new initiative encouraging people to move out of Atlanta’s city limits. The government is offering USDA home loans to citizens with less than stellar credit scores to buy homes a certain distance from the city. Dawsonville is an up-incoming area with several new subdivision developments you can purchase with this loan. There is a great outlet mall with all sort of shopping and restaurants around. It is a great area to raise a family.
