It is very important to understand that Corvallis is a college town, so don’t be surprised when everything you see is decorated with college gear. Finding your way around town is very difficult at first, as the streets seem to either go on forever and sprawl into rolling farmland then suddenly reenter the city. Once you live in Corvallis, it instantly feels like home, there is a place for every type of person and every culture, so you will never feel alone.
Corvallis is a rural college town in the Willamette Valley. It’s within a couple hours driving distance to mountains, ocean and Portland, Oregon. Corvallis is a lovely place to raise a family. there aren’t a lot of work opportunities here unless you work at the college, or Hewlett Packard.
