Conway, South Carolina, is a quaint town just West of the well-known city of Myrtle Beach. Due to the proximity of this tourist destination, Conway can often be crowded. Summer is worst of all as it is the height of the tourist season. Roads become jammed, prices of local goods increase, and restaurants have long wait times to be seated. However, in winter, the beaches empty and locals are able to relax in the small town feel that Conway provides. Winters are mild and never too cold. Little shops open in the historic district and Main Street closes down every Sunday for the Farmer’s Market. The Farmer’s Market provides the perfect opportunity to get to know the locals and support local business.
