Clovis, CA is near the Sierra Nevada Mountains and is often called the Gateway to the Sierras. Clovis borders the town of Fresno, CA and is surrounded by a multitude of agricultural enterprises. Clovis hosts an annual rodeo that brings contestants from all over the country. Clovis is well known for its excellent school district, Clovis Unified.

HELPFUL REPORT

A person moving to my city should know that it is a small city. Clovis is a city with strong family ties. Everyone in this city looks out for one another. Everyone is welcome here. I love living in Clovis and I know you will too. I would definitely recommend Clovis as a city to reside in.

Clovis is a suburb of Fresno, in the central valley of California. We are the “Fruit basket of the world”! This means we’re a rural agricultural area. A car is an absolute necessity, as National Geographic magazine has named us as one of the areas with the highest rate of urban sprawl.

Moving to Clovis has been the best thing to ever happen to me. The housing market, (although different from the Bay Area) is quite affordable. The lack of public transportation can be frustrating, but also provides a better quality of life for our family, due to not having a homeless problem.

While Clovis might first appear a bit boring, it’s actually a quite vibrant place to life. A stroll through Old Town Clovis will reveal quaint antique shops and modern eateries. Those in search of adventure will appreciate the convenient proximity of Sequoia National Park. Couples with young children are especially attracted to Clovis because of its exceptional school district.

There are many advantages to living in Clovis, such as affordable housing, low cost of living, and close proximity to attractions such as the beach and various national parks. One aspect that any potential mover should know is summer heat of the Central Valley. During the peak of summer, temperatures can reach as high as 115 degrees Fahrenheit.

Clovis, California, has vast rolling hills, isolated suburbs, and a cute downtown as well. The general cost of living is very affordable. It may be a difficult choice.
