Chalon-sur-SaƓne is a mid-size city in the Burgundy region of France. It is large enough to provide many services, yet small enough to elicit a comfortable, friendly sensibility. it is strategically within reasonable distances from Dijon, Lyon, and Geneva. The climate is not too cold in winter with little or no snow, and summers are mild to warm. The terrain is geographically varied with hills, vineyards, and many farms. Its many quaint streets and stone buildings offer a typical French landscape.
