Chakwal is almost 90 kilometers from the capital Islamabad. The population of the city is about one million people. Are you interested in hanging around my city and surrounding areas? It is a beautiful city surrounded by hills. If you land in the Islamabad International Airport, you can come to Faizabad Bus Stand to pick transport to Chakwal. You can come by two routes to Chakwal. One is from Motorway, and the other one is from GT Road. Two hours drive from GT Road and One and a half-hour drive from Motorway. You will enjoy beautiful countryside views on both sides of the road.

Famous places in the city:
– Chappar Bazar is the main market in the small town. It is an old market and center of business activities in the city. Some of the famous eating kinds of stuff of Chakwal are Pehlwan Rewari, Pehlwan Mithai, Burfi of Nisar Hotel, etc.
– Shrine of Syed Zain-ul-Abideen is one of the holy sites of the city. People visit the shrine of this great preacher with religious zeal.
– Now, there are two remarkable tourist attractions sites in Chakwal district. One is Kallar Kahar, and the other one is Katas Raj. These two places are worth-seeing due to beautiful sights and historical importance.
– Gorgeous places of Kallar Kahar include Babari Throne, Shrine of Hou Bahou, and Kallar Kahar lake. Kallar is in the lap of the Salt range mountains.
– The second place, which has a tourist attraction, is Katas Raj. It is the Holy Site for the followers of Hindu Religion. Katta’s Lake’s water is holy for the people of Hindu Religion. But other people also come see this historical and religious site.

It’s very peaceful city. The people here are helpful but also mind their own business when necessary. It’s a small town with many villages. The people here are hardworking and have build their city on there own including different malls, bakeries and plazas. It has public parks and restaurants as well.
