The city is really a medium-sized town, with good links to London (particularly the train lines, with one station within the town). It lies within the M25 motorway, but benefits from the openness and countryside of the Greenbelt. It might be described by some as a sleepy Surrey-town. Nonetheless, in recent years it has face increasing levels of development, little of which is affordable to people who have grown up in the town. It has a low crime rate and strong community.

the surrounding woodland area is wonderful to explore. There are all sorts of wildlife to discover and interact with; going for a walk offers a different adventure every time. Also, the town’s shopping centre is ever growing and, therefore, you can fill an interesting afternoon browsing the shops.
