Casper is a very windy city. There is a lot of wildlife here and beautiful scenery. Winter is harsh and not for the faint of heart. The temperature easily drops below 0 all of the time. Casper a great place if you enjoy the outdoors; it does lack diversity though.

Casper is a relatively enjoyable place and there isn’t a lot of crime here. Granted, there is a lot more traffic in Casper, Wyoming, but there is quite a bit more that’s available to do here with the community center, the mountains, and malls. There is more of a community setting here than in the small town where I am from.

Someone moving to Casper, Wyoming should know there are not many jobs outside of the oil or medical fields. On top of the fact, that the cost of living is much higher than the wages that employers offer to pay. On a positive note, however, there are many community activities that are worth the trouble of participating in.

Casper is not as heavily populated as most major cities. It still possesses an Old West charm that is refreshing and invigorating to the soul. The people for the most part are honest and helpful beyond average. The weather is for the most mild with a lot of wind. Oil and gas along with coal mining are some of the predominant industries.
