Carlisle is a stone’s throw from the beautiful Lake District National Park, which features breathtaking scenery, rolling hills and inviting lakes. Although the weather can be unpredictable, the links for tourism are excellent, particularly between the months of April and October. Being just seven miles from the border, Scotland is also within easy reach.
