If you’re moving to Burundi, in Bujumbura, you would expect a warm welcome by anyone you meet from the airport to the hotel. Everyone will want to handshake you, you will be loved and you are free to do anything you want freely and peacefully. The cheapest hotels and very very nice and cheap meals. The only thing you can never do, if you love your life, DO NEVER ENGAGE IN ANY POLITICAL discussions, or show publicly relationships with any political formation of the opposition. You will be nowhere to be found.

Bujumbura is a fun and beautiful city. I recommend you visit the museum and go out on weekend in one of the clubs in downtown to have the best experience while in Bujumbura. If you are a beach lover then I recommend that you as well spend some time in Gatumba where most beaches are located.
