If you are moving to Buford, Georgia, you should visit Buford Dam. It is a dam backing up historical Lake Sidney Lanier and opens up the Chattahoochee river that eventually runs into the Gulf of Mexico. There are numerous campgrounds for RVs or tents. Plenty of fishing and watersports available.

Buford, Georgia, is in Gwinnett County, which is the largest county in all of Georgia. The county is arguable the most diverse county in all of Georgia as well. Buford is in the suburbs of Atlanta. there are plenty of family oriented activities in the cities: including arcades and park. Buford is also relevantly close to the Mall of Georgia where there are plenty of brand new restaurants and shops around the area. Buford is still very much a developing city with plenty of new construction set to bring in new apartments, condos and houses. Buford is also about an hour away from the city of Atlanta.
