When moving to Buea, Cameroon, budget a lot for accommodation as it’s pretty expensive here. Home made food is cheaper than eating in restaurants. This climate is always fresh and beautiful.

We have Mt. Fako, good climatic conditions, and amazing food. A lot of people from outside Cameroon love this city because of its clear air and lack of pollution. Anyone coming to this country should visit the foot of Mt. Cameroon.

My city is very friendly. That is why it is named the town of hospitality. The people here love giving to each other and if you are new in town, they treat you like a prince or princess, literally. In addition to the resident’s unmatched friendliness, I should say they love merrymaking. We have festivals of all sorts throughout the year. And night is usually our best time because that is when we party like crazy.

My city is hospitable, housing is affordable, transportation is possible by taxi and the people are very welcoming. The main language of communication is English even though bilingualism is promoted all over the country. Food is available in abundance as farming is the occupation of most households living in the city. Christianity and Islam are the two religions of the people.

It is a metropolitan city at the foot of the mountain, with a very favourable climate. It is very attractive to tourists who visit some of the natural parks and beaches. It is also a source of government revenue. It is a city of legendary hospitality, full with lots of interesting tourist sites and ancient historical structures.

Buea is the headquarter of Fako division, the capital of the Southwest Region, Cameroon. It has a suitable climate as it’s not harsh during the dry season and not too cold during the rainy season either. Many tourists live here because of the very inactive mount Fak in the city.

Be prepared for heavy rains between June and September. Your clothing should reflect this reality. Accommodation is relatively expensive in the student residential areas, move to the inner part of town to get relatively comfortable and secured flats. The people are welcoming, especially to strangers, but this must not be abused by being condescending of their cultural belief system. The local restaurants will treat you to a beautiful menu.

Buea is in the South-West Region of Cameroon and it is home to one of the tallest mountains in the world, Mount Cameroon otherwise known as Mount Fako. Many people call it the town of legendary hospitality because of the welcoming nature of its denizens. it is a rural area mainly because of its small population size and its scheduled market days.

Buea is a small settlement in the Fako Division of the Southwest region of Cameroon. Being at the foot of mount Fako, it is very climate friendly. In recent years it’s population density has witnessed a steady increase, especially with the institution of the University of Buea which is the first Anglo-Saxon University in the country. Various arms of the military assure security but the problems of housing and water cannot be overlooked.
