Bridgwater is a small town within easy reach of the seaside. It is famous for its annual carnival and is close to the site of the Battle of Sedgemoor, which was the final battle during the Monmouth Rebellion. Bridgwater has plenty of facilities including shops, leisure centres and nature reserves, and is easily accessible via bus and train services.
