This is a very quiet city with an interesting background. The city is known for being a old ghost town. Downtown Breckenridge has murals and artwork scattered around. These are very visible and done by local artists. The city boasts a fantastic fishing lake, Hubbard Creek Lake, which is never crowded and fishing consistently good.

Breckenridge is a small town at the crossroads of Hwy 180 and Hwy 183. It is an hour east from Abilene and two hours from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The school district is small. The people are friendly and outgoing. Hubbard Creek Lake has great fishing tournaments during summer.
