Braunschweig’s city centre and old town, with its medieval buildings and cobbled streets is a sight to behold. Braunschweig’s main appeal is its high quality of life: With over five large parks, cultural offerings that include a theatre, concert hall, many museums and art galleries and a few universities, there is plenty to do. There are many jobs given the proximity of large and reputable employers nearby, notably Volkswagen, and life is quite affordable. the proximity of the Harz mountains (within 30 minutes by train) is a boon for nature-lovers.
