More than anything else, it has that classic 90s look because nothing much has improved since then. It’s also peaceful and quiet. The crime rate is always at its lowest and people who are doing well don’t look down on those who are struggling. There are different races and everyone is doing their bit to make everyone be as comfortable as they possibly can to be who they want to be. Job opportunities are equally available for everyone.

In my city the most common mode of transport used by the people, is taxis, thus a person visiting my city should know the different hand signs used as signals to taxi driver when going to different destinations within the city. This enhances the communication between the visitor and the taxi driver, and as a result it simplifies the process for both persons.

The city is old and was once considered to be the jewel of the East Rand. Half of the city is filled with people who have lived here all their lives, old and settled, dying in the houses owned by their parents. The other half is young, looking to start their journey into independence and build a family of their own. Two different paths, two different stages of life walk the streets of my little town.

Brakpan is a small town, where everyone lives in peace and harmony. We have a low crime rate. We also have many outdoor facilities to enjoy with family. We also have great to schools around, and lastly big malls where you can do your shopping, watch a movie and all other forms of entertainment.

Brakpan is a tourist attraction, it has many features that will attract you to it and love it. We have the tallest building is SA, we have a bridge which was named after the infamous Nelson Mandela. We have the biggest and famous University which is Witwatersrand and University of Johannesburg. We have the Constitutional Court.
