When moving to Boone, NC, prepare for cooler temperatures on average, than most places. Boone rarely gets above 79 degrees even in summer. Second, prepare for long, cold, and wet winters! Finally, despite a distinctively collegiate atmosphere, for all intents and purposes, the city is still a small town. Generally, that’s the main reason people move here and anyone considering doing the same should factor that in!

Boone, North Carolina, is a small university town in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is an abundance of beauty to behold and ample opportunity to adventure in our mountains. In town there are eclectic stores and cozy coffee shops where you can regularly expect to run into friends. You will find a welcoming atmosphere and a quiet escape from the rush of the city.
