The cost of living in Bolton, England, is low and housing prices competitive in comparison with other regions. Secondly, there are excellent transport links, either to the road networks running both north-south and east-west, and to fast express trains to London and beyond. but perhaps most importantly the quality of the environment is excellent, with numerous areas of outstanding countryside within the town boundaries, a fact that often comes as a surprise to many outsiders who may still hold an image of Bolton as an industrial city.
