Someone moving to Blantyre should expect to make some new friends. The people in the city are very friendly and will always welcome people with a warm heart. The other thing one has to expect is the famous Chambo fish. It is only found in lake Malawi and it is very tasty.

Blantyre has a very low crime rate. You can move into any neighborhood and feel welcome because everyone is friendly, it feels like you have joined a family and not just moved into a new town. The climate is quite moderate, never too hot and never too cold. We have markets all around so we have fresh fruit and vegetables all year ’round.

Although Blantyre is a fairly remote city in Malawi, it still possesses an international airport. It is profoundly beautiful with rolling hills and immaculately kept public gardens. The inhabitants are cosmopolitan, like most rapidly expanding cities these days, and can be seen going about their business in a friendly and content manner.
