Blantyre has a very low crime rate. You can move into any neighborhood and feel welcome because everyone is friendly, it feels like you have joined a family and not just moved into a new town. The climate is quite moderate, never too hot and never too cold. We have markets all around so we have fresh fruit and vegetables all year ’round.
It is the commercial city of the Republic of Malawi. It is the second most populated place in Malawi. Blantyre took its name after the city of Blantyre in Scotland. Blantyre city has various populated areas such as Limbe township, Ndirande township, Chilomoni township, Chirimba township and Lunzu township. The mayor of Blantyre city is Wild Ndipo.
Although Blantyre is a fairly remote city in Malawi, it still possesses an international airport. It is profoundly beautiful with rolling hills and immaculately kept public gardens. The inhabitants are cosmopolitan, like most rapidly expanding cities these days, and can be seen going about their business in a friendly and content manner.
