Bhimavaram is known for its natural beauty. it welcomes one with the pleasant sights of lush paddy fields and vast aa tans lining the scenic riverside. The many beautiful temples are strewn across the city give it an air of serenity. The Sri Mavullamma Temple is another important place to worship.

Bhimavaram is famous for the Gunupudi Someswara (Somarama) temple, which is one of the five holy Pancharamas and the temple of the local deity Mavullamma. And it is famous for seafood like shrimp and fish like rohu. It is also famous for coconuts and its green environment.
