Berkhamsted is a beautiful town. It is rural, with quiet neighbourhoods. The town is vast with plenty of eateries, coffee shops and charity shops. The houses are very expensive. There are lots of green spaces and children’s parks. We are lucky to also benefit from a sports centre. Also, the schools all have good Ofsted reports and it is a wonderful place to raise children.

Berkhamsted is a quaint English town in Hertfordshire. The Grand Union Canal snakes through it, rather majestically, and there is nothing finer on a Sunday than to sit outside one of many canal pubs, a drink in hand, watching narrowboats navigating the locks. Berkhamsted has no theatres or department stores but plenty of tea rooms and dusty antique shops. If you’re looking for big-city entertainment, you are most in the wrong place.
