Yearly during January in Benicarló, the Artichoke Festival is celebrated. It has been declared a “Festival of Autonomous Tourist Interest”. The Benicarló Artichoke, which has had a denomination of origin since 1998, is the protagonist of an extensive programme of activities. Besides that it is a cheap place, where the average rent is about 400 Euros per month only.
