Bato, Leyte, is a very accommodating place. It is a fast growing city where the infrastructure are evolving. There is less pollution because there is small number of cars and vehicles that uses gasoline. The public market is overlooking the sea and most barangay are on the countryside where lots of green can seen.

Our town is a third class municipality and is semi urbanized. It has 32 barangays and an island rich in resources. Around the town you can experience the pleasure of devouring delicious delicacies and dishes while experiencing the beauty of nature and people. Despite the development of the town, you can still observe people practicing traditions and pious to their religion.
