Barrow is an historical port town, synonymous with the construction of nuclear submarines. It is often joked as being at the end of the longest cul-de-sac in England, due to its remote location. Local residents are fiercely protective of the area, but are incredibly welcoming and supportive, once you persevere beyond the initial, often rough exterior.
