The weather in my city can be very hot during summer. Warm winds called a calima can blow across from Africa, meaning that the temperatures rise and there is a lot of sand in the air. You can even see a line of sand above the horizon when a particularly bad calima is taking place. My city is multicultural but the main language is Spanish as although the island is close to Africa than mainland Spain, it is governed by Spanish law and the Spanish government.
