Annapolis, and Maryland as a whole, is diverse. The state is often described as a mini America and that couldn’t be more true when looking at the cultures, natural landscapes, people and more. Annapolis is unique because of its range. When you go downtown it’s more of a city scene, outside of that there are plenty of suburbs and even farther outside that there are large rural areas scattered around. So, whether you prefer cities, suburbs, or a more rural landscape, Annapolis has it all.

Annapolis, Maryland, is much more than merely the state capital; it is an historic, bayside town that is as peaceful as it is vibrant. Halfway between Baltimore and Washington, DC, Annapolis offers culture, cuisine, and a casual lifestyle that includes all the pomp and circumstance of the US Naval Academy. The quaint historic district features interesting tourist sites such as the State Capitol, St. John’s College, the Alex Haley Memorial, and many federal-style home that hearken back to when Annapolis briefly served as the national capital.

The natural environment can appeal to almost everyone; you can lounge on the beach by the Chesapeake bay, go hiking in the woodlands, go west to the mountains, or just take a stroll in the city. The people of Annapolis, specifically the teenagers are extremely passionate activists who are constantly fighting for people’s rights, environmental rights, fighting against gun violence and more.

If you are planning a move to Annapolis, Maryland, know it is a water-based community. There are ample places to boat, kayak, paddle board, swim and more! You can even find restaurants with dining right on the water. Annapolis is home to the United States Naval Academy. Annapolis is a very diverse city, with private lots of land and close-knit communities of homes.
