When moving to Amherst, potential residents should know it is a very beautiful area. Despite being locate in the northern suburbs of Buffalo, New York, it has diverse wildlife, including white-tailed deer, coyotes, and various interesting songbirds. Creeks and forests are plentiful, and residents can enjoy the use of trails winding through nature parks. There is no end to the natural beauty that Amherst contains.

Amherst is a great town to raise a family in. We are a suburb of Buffalo, so nightlife is within close driving distance, but also far enough away to have safe, small neighborhoods for children. People are fiercely defensive of our sports teams, the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres, even though they aren’t very good!
