Alicante is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. It is surrounded by mountains and sea so you can do both activities year-round. It has several boat rental businesses, multiple places to go out at night, and lots of nightlife. It is a great tourist attraction for all of Europe.
When moving to the city of Alicante, Spain; people should know there is a vast culture with lots to learn. Many places to visit include the Alicante Castle, the large town of Benidorm (Around 40 minutes drive from the city), the many seaside towns around the province plus extensive golf courses inland.
Whomever moves to Alicante must know that this is the city where you have at least 300 days of sun. It almost never rains and you can even go to the beach in winter. We have beautiful towns and places to visit in Alicante province. Some of these places are Altea, Benidorm and Calpe.
Alicante has a large airport which is important for tourism. The airport is very close to the city centre and is accessible by bus. Public transport in the country is subsidised by the Government which makes travel very cheap. The bus runs from the airport every 20 minutes.
There are two main things that someone should know if they are moving here. Firstly, the weather is extremely hot during summer, this can sometimes make it difficult to be outside or go to work. Secondly, since it is a city, there is a relatively high crime rate, and no one should walk around at night alone.
