It is very suburban, and more like a large neighborhood than an actual town. Aldie is in a great school district with many schools in surrounding areas. Only 45 minutes from DC, it is very close to the city without being directly involved, and many people in this area work in the government.

Aldie, Virginia, is a beautiful suburb surrounded by Blue Ridge Mountain, different species of birds, plants and some great waterfalls all nestled in the woods. It is a city that is only about an hour drive to our nation’s capital of Washington, DC on the east and less than an hour to famous hikes in the state of West virginia.

Someone moving to my city, Aldie, should know that, if their job is in Washington, DC, the commute time will be at least one hour each way. However, there are carpool and public transportation options that they could consider to alleviate a daily drive. If this is not an issue, moving to Aldie is an excellent decision!
