If someone is planning to move to Ethiopia, specifically Addis Ababa, there are things you should know: houses and cars are expensive, but food is cheap and all organic. Contrary to the news reports, Addis is generally very safe. Of course, there are pickpockets, but not in a violent way.

Addis Ababa happens to be the third highest capital in the world after La Paz, Bolivia, and Quito, Ecuador. Situated at 7,600 feet above sea level, it has cool evenings and pleasant days in the dry season and mostly cool and damp days in the rainy season. Addis Ababa also is the seat of the African Union and a home to a lot of diplomatic missions including the United Nations Economic Commission to Africa. As the country has a diverse population with a lot of different ethnic groups, one would find almost all these people groups in the capital.

There will be transportation problems at mornings and extremely crowded at mornings and at the end of the day. There will be noise’s at mornings and sometimes at night because of churches and electricity may not be available sometimes other than that neighborhood is very safe and the people are kind.

My people are very known for there hospitality, we have above eighty thousand ethnic groups. We all live in harmony, peace and tranquility. Any one will fit right in, but it would be beneficial if they learn our mother tongue (Amharic), cause it makes it much easier to move around.

Addis is a beautiful city. Roads are jammed most of the day so it won’t be easy getting around. There are a lot of international restaurants and people are mostly friendly. Life is more expensive when compared to a lot of other cities in Ethiopia. The people of Ethiopia are more religious and culture oriented so you might want to do a little digging before your arrival to the capital.

Amharic is the official language. carrying a lot of dollar cash is forbidden. Also, it is better to rent a house than to rent an apartment because most of the apartments in the city are not of a good quality.

our city is great place to work and to chill. And it has nice hospitality. Our people are nice. But also our city face big problems with a lot of things. Like Not compatible electricity supply, have problem with mobile networks also on transportation there are bit problems. The person who want to move to our country should consider this.

Addis Ababa is the capital of Ethiopia. Where the largest marketplace in whole of Africa is found here, called Mercato. The oldest town part called Piassa have old buildings that are built during the Haile Selassie reign. Addis Ababa is the city where African union sits down, this city have more construction than any other African countries.

I’d tell someone who wants to move here to explore every city corner to experience the amazing nightlife, the bars, the nightclubs, the traditional food, the dance, the people will make anyone’s stay unforgettable and in the daylight the beautiful atmosphere of the city makes one to stick around for longer.

Addis Ababa is one of the most diverse places on earth. In Addis there a lot of languages spoken like Amharic, English, Oromo, etc, and diverse religions like Protestants, Catholics, and Muslims. And mostly our people are so united we do things together.
